Selfbuild – Tuaregs
When I came into the LiMa Wohnhof with my shopping bags in my hands, I didn’t get home for a long time because people were talking to people in the yard. It was like a village. The self-builders worked like bees. This social life was a reality for us, it was like being born into the world that we had defined for ourselves. We defined ourselves into the unknown and our brains unfolded like parachutes and took us across borders. We overcame boundaries.
Berlin was as hard as a block of ice. When I was with K., K.drunk. I had never drunk. He aged quickly. You could tell from that that he had problems. He couldn’t talk about it. So I said to him: I’m going to the desert. Are you coming with me? And he said yes.
