THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CLIMATE BALANCE

If we look and listen more closely, we can still perceive the wet lowlands and swamps of this glacial valley with its early mists and flocks of crows.

Today the southern Friedrichstadt Markgrafenstraße in the center of the city develops during the summer a pocket of heat here with temperatures up to 50 degrees centigrade.

In order to lessen this over-heating, a reconstruction, redevelopment or references of these humid lowlands into micro biotopes would present an interesting climate balance project. With the ecological urban gardens created by the IBA 1987 in the southern Friedrichstadt, we can create transclimatic spheres.
