perspectives – 5 – the habitat is moving
The spaces we live in are organisms in progress. Organisms mesh, become entangled, or wedged in cooperative relationships. When global temperatures rise complex systems change. Regions become deserts, glaciers melt, oceans rise, resulting in flooding and washing away settlements. Ecological systems, the diversity among all living organisms within and between the species, die. The spaces we live in begin to shift and have to regenerate themselves. The habitat is moving.
