As contact architects, we had relatively little to do with the self-construction. We had meetings with the construction managers and made sure that everything went right. Reinhard and Jürgen did a good job. Self-building is associated with financing. If you dreamed of this or that, that went beyond the standard, you had to be reminded of reality. But it was easy that if you didn’t want the standard, you paid the extra price and then your wish was realized. I do not remember conflicts, but I remember that the construction times took longer, and so the construction phase lasted longer than planned. Inken Baller
